Online Decryption is an Online Contract played from 3 to 8 players in Watch Dogs.
The objective of the game is to find a file solo or with your teammates and decode it before your opponents.
There are two modes for playing Online Decryption:
- Free-for-all: The player plays by themselves against other players
- TeamDeath Match: The player plays with other players as a team against another team of players. The file carrier gains a decryption speed bonus when near teammates.
- Screen Tearing: A very common bug in decryption mode happens when the game tries to compensate framerate by processing half of the in-game textures instead, causing the frame rate to chug around 30, 20 even 10 frames per second.
- Pop-Ins: Common bug in both Decryption and racing where players and vehicles will teleport randomly without warning, sometimes appearing too early or too late regardless of internet connection.
